Transforming Queensland Manufacturing Grants Program application

The Transforming Queensland Manufacturing (TQM) Grants Program supports the Queensland Government's commitment to unlocking the full potential of the state's manufacturing sector by boosting innovation and creating high-value jobs.

Grants between $100,000 and $1,500,000 (up to 50 per cent of eligible project costs) are available to eligible Queensland-based manufacturing small to medium enterprises for:

  • advanced manufacturing equipment which meets program objectives 
  • software purchasing to support system integration and manufacturing process improvement.

The TQM Grants Program is a three-year $79.1 million program. Round 1 will provide $12.5 million in grant funding through a single-stage, competitive application process. Fifty percent of this available funding will be allocated to regional Queensland. 

Before starting your application

When preparing your application, it is important to:

  • read the Program Guidelines 
  • ensure you meet the eligibility criteria for applicants (see Section 2.4 the Program Guidelines)
  • ensure your project meets the eligibility requirements for a proposed project and proposed project costs (see Sections 2.5 and 2.6 of the Program Guidelines).

Submitting your application

To apply, you must complete this online application form ensuring you:

  • address all eligibility and assessment criteria
  • provide all the information requested
  • include all necessary attachments.

You must submit your complete application by the due date and time.

Confidentiality, privacy and use of information

The Queensland Government will maintain controls in relation to the management of confidential information provided by applicants. Applicants should specifically mark any information the applicant considers to be confidential.

An applicant must keep confidential its application, any information provided to the Queensland Government in connection with its application and its dealings with the Queensland Government about its application but may make disclosures if required by law or to its representatives or advisors who are under an obligation of confidentiality. An applicant must also keep confidential any information designated by the state as confidential.

The Queensland Government may disclose information, including confidential information, of or provided by an applicant:

  • to its representatives and advisors for any purpose
  • to any government agency or authority and its representatives and advisors, including for the purpose of assessing and verifying such information
  • to comply with or meet applicable standards of accountability of public money or established government policies, procedures or protocols; or
  • if required to be disclosed by law.

The Queensland Government collects personal information during the application process.  Personal information will be used and may be disclosed for the purpose of processing, assessing and making a decision about the application, and as authorised by law.  This may include personal information being disclosed to third parties and other government agencies for purposes in connection with the assessment of applications (and if an application is successful, in connection with administration of any subsequent agreement). The state will otherwise deal with personal information provided to it in accordance with the Information Privacy Act 2009 and the Privacy statement of the Queensland Government (www.qld.gov.au/legal/privacy).

For audit purposes, the state is required to retain applications and other supplied supporting material. Successful applications will be retained for seven years and unsuccessful applications retained for two years.
